Practice/ Game Location
Families can generally anticipate a practice and a game each weekend. (an hour on Saturday and an hour on Sunday) Specific schedules and times will be determined once the number of teams at each level is set and games are scheduled with the other clubs. No practices or games over Thanksgiving or Winter breaks.
Team practices and games are managed by, USA Hockey Certified, experienced parent volunteer coaches and managers.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles including: coach (on ice) and manager (off ice).
Both coaches and managers must register with USA Hockey and complete a thorough background check. Coaches have the additional requirements of an annual coaching clinic and age-appropriate online coaching modules through USA Hockey.
Please consider volunteering -- teams are limited essentially by the number of volunteers willing to coach and manage teams. Email the House Director for more information.
Team Jerseys and socks are provided by the club at no additional cost.
Full equipment is required.
All players MUST have the following properly fitted equipment to take the ice for any practice, clinic or game:
Equipment for WHA programs CANNOT be rented from the Park District or WHA. View our Gear page to find places where you can buy gear.
In early September, the WHA and the Wilmette Tribe host an annual Gear Free Cycling event. Donated used gear will be available for free. Its a great place to pick up some hockey gear.
Cost for all players are to be determined.
Fees include: jerseys, socks, conditioning sessions, weekly practice, weekly games and post season playoff games.
Registration with USA Hockey is required before you can register.
